Biography

Past Master Biography: Champ C. Buzbee (Died 1989) Past Master: Lubbock Lodge No. 1392 Year Served: 1963–1964 I. Life & Career Masonic Legacy & Humor Brother Buzbee was an early and energetic leader of Lubbock Lodge No. 1392. He is affectionately remembered in the Lodge\'s history for a lighthearted event in October 1961. During a stated meeting, Brother Buzbee \"preferred charges\" against the Lodge\'s first Worshipful Master, F. C. Odorizzi. The \"charges\" were a ruse to have Brother Odorizzi\'s portrait \"hung\" (placed on the wall) as the Lodge’s first Past Master—establishing a tradition of honoring Past Masters that continues to this day. Residency While his early Masonic career was dedicated to Lubbock, records indicate he later affiliated with Atlanta Lodge No. 463 in Atlanta, Texas, suggesting a move to East Texas later in life.
