Congratulations to Brother Bill Cooper, Recipient of the Golden Trowel Award
Lubbock Lodge No. 1392 is proud to congratulate Brother Bill Cooper on receiving the Golden Trowel Award, an honor reserved for those Brethren whose quiet dedication, faithful service, and consistent labor strengthen the Lodge from within.
The Golden Trowel Award recognizes a Mason who exemplifies the true spirit of the Craft—one who works tirelessly, not for recognition, but for the good of the Lodge and the Brethren. Brother Cooper embodies this ideal in every sense. He is ever-present in the work of the degrees, a patient mentor to new Masons, a steady hand in stewarding our meals, and he currently serves the Lodge with care and integrity as Treasurer of Lubbock Lodge No. 1392.
Brother Cooper’s service is not limited to any single role; rather, it is found in his willingness to step forward wherever help is needed. His example reminds us that the strength of a Lodge is built by those who labor faithfully behind the scenes, setting an example of humility, perseverance, and brotherly love.
Adding to the significance of the evening was the presentation of the award by his grandson, Brother Tanner Cooper, our current Senior Warden. The moment was deeply moving, as Brother Tanner—nearly overcome with emotion—presented the Golden Trowel to a man who has not only shaped the Lodge, but also his own Masonic journey.
Brother Bill Cooper is truly a great example of what it means to be a Mason. We thank him for his unwavering service and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.
