A historic event unfolded for West Texas Masonry with the joint installation of officers for District 93. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Most Worshipful Rayburn Reader, Grand Master of Masons of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, and Most Worshipful Dennis Reader, Grand Marshal of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, along with several other District Deputy Grand Masters. This momentous occasion, the first of its kind since 1982 when Most Worshipful Jimmy Wilson presided over a similar event, saw eight of the nine lodges in Districts 93-A and 93-B participate. The presence of family and friends added to the spirit of unity and support.
This significant gathering was made possible through the efforts of Brother Jeremy Hogan, who reached out to the Grand Lodge to arrange the event. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to the wives and girlfriends of the officers. Their unwavering support, understanding, and strength at home are the very foundation that allows the officers to dedicate themselves to the lodge and become better men. Their incredible contributions are deeply appreciated.

Following the Joint Installation, the first District 93 MWSA meeting was held at Lubbock Lodge No. 1392, marking the formation of the Masters, Wardens, and Secretaries Association for Districts 93-A and 93-B.
There were 7 of the 9 lodges represented, 22 Masons present. A great showing for a long day of Masonry.
This association is designed to serve, not as an accolade, title, or jewel to be worn. It will assist our District Deputy Grand Masters, support Grand Lodge committees, and help coordinate our hospitality when we host the Grand Master. The association will foster a spirit of brotherhood, widen our circle of acquaintance, and promote educational opportunities that bring more light to all Master Masons.
The spirit behind the letter of the by-laws is to be a catalyst for renewal. It is about spreading the cement of brotherly love so thoroughly that it binds not just our lodges, but our entire Masonic family. Our strength is magnified when we stand united with the York Rite, the Scottish Rite, the Shrine, and when we support the future of our Craft through DeMolay and Rainbow – and all aspects of Masonry. They are all vital pillars of our shared temple.
For this great work to succeed, it requires all of us. We know that in any great undertaking, there will be the workers—those who tirelessly apply the working tools of the craft. There will be the talkers—those who spread the word and encourage others. And there will be those who simply show up for the fellowship, whose presence alone strengthens our bonds.
To each of you, whatever role you choose, we say: you are welcome, you are needed, and you are valued. Every Brother has a part to play. It truly is great to be a Texas Mason!
