Lubbock Lodge No. 1392 was deeply honored to welcome the Most Worshipful Rayburn Reader, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, and Right Worshipful Dennis Reader, Grand Marshal of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas to our stated meeting this evening. The lodge was filled with a profound sense of brotherhood and fellowship as we hosted these distinguished guests.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a surprise “Ashlar Award” to our very own Brother Clark for his tireless and unwavering service to the Lodge. In a carefully orchestrated plan, Brother Clark’s family was secretly invited to witness the honor. Believing another Brother was to be recognized, he had even prepared a heartfelt speech in their honor. The emotional moment when Brother Clark was called to the altar to receive his award was a testament to his dedication and the high esteem in which he is held by his Brethren.

The evening concluded with inspiring remarks from Most Worshipful Reader. He commended Lubbock Lodge for its extensive charitable works, including our Teacher Honorariums, scholarship programs, and support for local women’s shelters. His words encouraged us to redouble our efforts in the community and continue the great work of Masonry.

We now look forward to tomorrow’s historic joint installation of new officers for Districts 93-A & 93-B by the Most Worshipful Grand Master.

An Honored Evening with The Most Worshipful Grand Master

James A. Clark

For James, the journey of Masonry—which began in May 2000 at Clinton Lodge No. 23—is about more than just titles. Currently active in Lubbock Lodge No. 1392, Wolfforth-Frenship Lodge No. 1447, and various York and Scottish Rite bodies, he sees these affiliations as avenues for deep Masonic education. James advocates for a Craft where the bonds of the dining hall are supported by a dedication to our ancient truths. His mission within the District 93 MWSA and beyond is to harmonize social ties with reflection, moving the brotherhood from rote memorization toward the genuine pursuit of light.
